With Departments of Radiology, Human Anatomy and Forensic Medicine of the Medical University of Gdańsk
We are pleased to announce the 3rd Interventional Hands-On Cadaver Workshop.
 
 The workshop is intended for clinicians of all specialities interested in the safe practice of interventional pain medicine.
 
Participants are going to acquire and develop skills of safe practice of paraspinal interventions and peripheral nerve blocks during practical sessions on human cadavers and live models.
 
This is a satellite event of the VII Congress of the Polish Pain Society.
The Congress will take place between 15th and 19th September 2010 in the historic and beautiful city of Gdańsk.
Workshop participants are encouraged to register with the main Congress. They will have the opportunity to take part in the sessions devoted to interventional pain medicine included in its programme.
Programme
 
One day intensive
all English course
 
Short lectures at the start:
  • spinal anatomy
  • radiology
  • use of C-arm
  • US anatomy

 

7 stations

(max. 4 participants per station)

 

C-arm guided procedures:

  • nerve roots blocks
  • medial branch nerves blocks
  • transforaminal & interlaminar epidurals
  • sympathetic blocks
  • RF (radiofrequency)
  • spinal cord stimulation
  • peripheral stimulation

 

Ultrasound guided procedures:

  • peripheral nerves
  • brachial plexus
  • paraspinal injections

 

Social programme:

  • dinner with the faculty
